Labour market

A well functioning labour market is a must in a competitive global economy. Notably in times of trouble. An active labour market policy plays an important role in this, ensuring that individuals are qualified and motivated to seek and obtain employment.

Based on performance and evidence based approaches, we find and provide the knowledge needed for new practices and effective policy making.

Selected projects

Evaluation of 'On the way to job'

This evaluation was carried out as a part of the evidence based policy strategy of the National Labour Market Authority. It provided important evidence in relation to the effects of selected active measures toward unemployed. Ramboll evaluated a randomized control group experiment through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The evaluation was carried out in 18 job centres across Denmark.

Result-based management in the Employment and Integration Administration (BIF)

Together with BIF, Ramboll established a change theory for the sickness benefit area. Furthermore, a visitation tool was developed for sickness benefit recipients. The value of the collaboration with Ramboll is estimated by the client to be DKK 30-40 million annually. This is due to a more efficient and targeted visitation as well as the direct savings in sickness benefits expenditures. The project was awarded the 'Master Case' title in 2011.
