Environmental Due Diligence

Past pollution and non-compliance with technical and environment permits often pose both operational and reputational risks. Necessary risk mitigation may be costly and time consuming, but it is important to quantify.

For the last 15 years Ramboll has worked systematically with the Environmental Due Diligence process. We have a network of more than 1.000 environmental experts working from offices in more than 20 countries. Through our recruitment and HRD policies, we ensure that our experts possess updated regulatory knowledge, and are able to assess the consequences of historic pollution and regulatory non-compliance.

Danish Oil Terminals - Vendors Environmental Due Diligence

As part of the planning for DONG Energy's divesture of four large oil terminals in Denmark, Ramboll conducted Environment, Health and Safety Due Diligence on the terminals. The project included quay and pier installations, 51 above-ground storage facilities and above-ground (ship-storage) transportation systems with class II and/or III products, such as fuel oil and diesel.

Deep Sea Coal Ports, Denmark - Technical and Environmental Due Dilgence of E2 and Elsam.

Due Diligence of deep sea coal harbours for the import and transhipment of coal to Danish coal fired power plants, in connection with the Due Diligence process between DONG Energy and Vattenfall. The project covered preparation of a technical and environmental basis for Due Diligence process, including the examination of available data, reporting of critical technical and environmental aspects, description of coal handling operations and logistics, asset estimates, and suggestions for the sharing of assets.
