Chaired by Christian Smallwood, Senior Engineer at Ramboll, the event was attended by 70 young professional consultants and engineers from ACE member companies under one roof to meet and share knowledge.
The event, sponsored by Mott McDonald, was themed “Alternative Skills for developing consultants”. Rachad Nochahrli, Operations Director at Arcadis, presented Client Relationship Development 101, a set of guidelines to start, nurture and develop client relationships, while Wadii Bouchiha, Business Development Director at RATP Dev, presented how to turn good engineering into business, in his presentation From Engineering to Business. The talk was aimed at developing essential soft skills away from the technical. A lively interactive debate followed, with attendees invited to ask questions of the two speakers.
