Ramboll Middle East has secured a number of new project wins.

Following on from a risk assessment carried out earlier this year, Ramboll has now won the contract to complete a full fire protection system design for the Taq Taq oilfield in Kurdistan, Iraq.

Ramboll’s Environmental team is carrying out a Preliminary Environmental Review for a steel rebar factory in Al Ain. This marks a significant win for our growing environmental department, which has recently moved from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

An expanded service offering and new project wins are helping Ramboll’s fire engineering team grow in the Middle East. Current projects include a military hospital, a chemical plant and a series of high-rise developments.

Between Monday 7th and Wednesday 9th June the second annual Cityscape Jeddah exhibition took place in the Red Sea city.

Ramboll was represented by Directors from our Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices, who met with decision-makers from across Saudi Arabia. 

Ramboll's Middle East Managing Director, Peyman Mohajer, commented, "The event brought together an interesting mix of foreign firms, local consultants, regional and local developers and the general public. It was obvious from our conversations that there are many projects in the pipeline, particularly villa developments, desperately needed to meet the demands of a growing population. There was a real buzz about the event, and we are already seeing concrete results from the contacts we made there."

From May 1 2010 Ramboll’s Fire Engineering team, based in Dubai, has become part of the Middle East Principal Business Unit (PBU).
